Therapy For Veterans
Military service can require carrying missions long after deployment ends. For many veterans, experiences from combat, military sexual trauma (MST), operational stress, loss, high-alert environments, moral injury, or repeated exposure to traumatic events can continue to affect daily life long after returning home. Symptoms may show up as anxiety, hypervigilance, irritability, difficulty sleeping, emotional numbness, feeling disconnected, or always staying in “mission-ready” mode.
I specialize in working with veterans and understand the unique culture, language, and experiences that come with military service. My approach is military culturally competent, respectful, and grounded in evidence-based treatment.
I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help veterans process traumatic memories without requiring you to recount every detail out loud. EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process and can help reduce distress connected to combat experiences, military transitions, survivor guilt, critical incidents, and other service-related experiences.
Whether you served in combat, supported operations stateside, or are navigating life after service, therapy can provide a place to stand down, recalibrate, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
If you’re looking for military culturally competent counseling, I’m here to help.
