Trauma Focused

Therapy that is designed to help individuals heal from the emotional, psychological, and physical effects of traumatic experiences

Trauma can result from a single event, such as an accident or assault, or from ongoing experiences like childhood abuse, neglect, military service, relationship violence, or other overwhelming life events.

When trauma remains unresolved, it can affect daily life in many ways, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional numbness, sleep problems, and feeling constantly on edge. Trauma-focused therapy helps clients understand how past experiences continue to impact their present lives while developing healthier ways to cope, heal, and move forward.

As part of a trauma-informed treatment approach, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal distressing memories. EMDR can reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic experiences and help individuals feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered in their daily lives.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can work through trauma at their own pace, build emotional resilience, and create lasting positive change. Whether you are struggling with PTSD, childhood trauma, or the lingering effects of difficult life experiences, trauma-focused therapy can help you move toward healing and recovery.
